2013 will go down in rock history as Lzzy Hale’s year. Halestorm’s lead singer can now add another title to her repertoire, Queen of Rock joining the ranks with other former Queens such as Joplin, the Wilson sisters, Pat Benatar, Lita Ford, Joan Jett and most recently Amy Lee to just name a few. Without a doubt, she is one of the hardest working artists in the rock genre, male or female, with a relentless touring schedule of more than 300 shows per year. Yet, she still finds the time to write her own songs and collaborate with other artists as she recently did with Device covering the classic “Close My Eyes Forever”, a duet with David Draiman.

1. With a touring schedule of over 300 shows per year, she’s one of the hardest working rockers anywhere.
2. She writes her own songs. She’s been writing them since she was 13 years old.
3. She can cover about anything. Her cover of Lady Gaga’s “Bad Romance” is proof of that!
4. She’s your girl next door. You know, the one you didn’t have the balls to ask out.
5. Her dynamic voice is one of the best in the business. When I asked David Draiman about comparing Lzzy to Amy Lee this is what he had to say: “Look, nobody touches Lzzy...she has more of the edge to her vocals, more of the riot-girl in her. She’s really amazing!”
6. She’s a Grammy winner. Halestorm won the Grammy for Love Bites (So Do I) in the Best Hard Rock/Metal Performance category on February 10, 2013. An award that has completely humbled the entire band.
7. Stage presence - once she takes the stage, she easily captures your undivided attention and holds it for the entire show. Be careful though, her brother Arejay is an animal on drums. Stare too long at Lzzy, you’re missing half the show!
