Finnish symphonic metal band. Currently without a lead singer, but previously had Tarja and Anette Olzon. ReVamp's Floor Jansen is filling in for the remainder of the Imaginaerum tour. PLEASE no Tarja vs. Anette vs. Floor debates here. Discussion is fine, but we all know those fights can get way out of hand, very fast, so lets try to keep it to a minimum.  |

Weird. I have never heard Nightwish being played in a store ever.
I don't mean to start drama but I really miss Anette in the band. Nothing really wrong with Floor but yeah. I liked Anette.

industrialclef It was really weird. But I guess because a lot of stores in Australia let people play music from their mp3 devices eventually it'd be played somewhere.  Also, it was around the time that Nightwish was playing two shows here. I miss both Tarja and Anette. In fact, I love all of the singers. I highly doubt Floor will be staying permanently though, which is a shame, due to her commitments with ReVamp + their second album is due out in Europe's fall (Sep-Nov).

I really love their music, but don't know what to think about them anymore. I love all three singers, tarja, Anette and Floor, but in my opinion Floor should stay with ReVamp...

In the above linked performance of Ghost Love Score (one of my favorite songs), was awesome. I got chills at around 6:00 and 7:30. I also love how Tuomas makes love to the keys and Jukka stalks the drums. I also like how they all left during the interlude like "K. Bye. We're leaving even though it's the middle of the song." Then Toumas comes out with water and throws it to the crowd. How sweet and nice. My only critique about Nightwish is that they don't have an animated lead vocalists. For example, if I was up there performing Ghost Love Score and that part at around 5:45 (in the above video) came up, I'd be "jammin'" the way I do here when I'm listening to the song. lol. |
